Terms of Service
Effective 2026-04-22 · Last updated 2026-10-05
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the DroneInfo mobile application and the DroneInfo weather API(together, “the service”). The service is published by Deeploy Tech, a sole trader (enskild firma) registered in Sweden (“we”, “us”). By installing the app or calling the API, you agree to these Terms.
1. What DroneInfo is
DroneInfo is a decision-support tool for drone pilots. It aggregates data from authoritative meteorological and aviation services and presents weather and a flight-conditions advisory score. Source attribution is returned with every API response and visible in the mobile app.
2. Advisory only - not a flight-permission tool
DroneInfo provides advisory information only. It does not grant permission to fly in any airspace, anywhere, ever. Flight scores, weather data, and airspace links are guidance, not authorisation. You are solely responsible for verifying airspace restrictions, weather conditions, equipment condition, pilot competence, and applicable national regulations through official sources before every flight (for example the EASA drone-zones map within the EU, FAA B4UFLY in the United States, or the relevant civil aviation authority in your jurisdiction).
Part A - Mobile App
3. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the mobile app on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the app store terms applicable to you (Apple Media Services Terms or Google Play Terms of Service).
4. Subscriptions and in-app purchases
The app may offer optional subscriptions (e.g. DroneInfo Pro) sold through Apple App Store or Google Play and managed via RevenueCat. Pricing, billing periods, and renewal behaviour are shown on the in-app paywall before purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings; we cannot cancel or refund store purchases on your behalf - refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
5. Apple App Store addendum
When you obtain the app through the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and Deeploy Tech only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. To the extent required, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
6. Acceptable use (mobile app)
You will not reverse-engineer the app, attempt to extract source code, circumvent purchase or entitlement checks, or use the app for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates the rules of any drone airspace authority.
Part B - Weather API & Web Account
7. API access
Access to the DroneInfo API requires an account and a Bearer API key. You are responsible for keeping your key secret and for all calls made with it. Each plan has request quotas and rate limits documented at /docs and /pricing. Exceeding limits will result in throttling or temporary suspension.
8. Acceptable use (API)
You will not: resell raw responses as a substitute weather API, attempt to scrape or mirror the entire dataset, use the API to build a service that competes with the underlying upstream providers in violation of their licences, share API keys between unrelated projects or organisations, or use the API in a way that violates the licence terms of the upstream sources (which include open data licences such as CC BY, NLOD and public-domain releases issued by their respective government agencies). When you display or republish data obtained via the API, retain the source attribution we return in each response.
9. Billing (paid API plans)
Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe according to the plan and currency selected at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial periods, except where required by applicable consumer protection law. You can cancel at any time from the dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
10. Service availability and changes
We strive for high availability but do not currently offer a contractual SLA on the public plans. We may add, modify, or deprecate endpoints, fields, or providers with reasonable notice. Free-tier limits and pricing may change with notice published on the website.
Part C - Common
11. Support
For help using the app or API, technical issues, billing questions, or any feedback, contact [email protected]. We aim to respond to support requests within 3 business days. Legal and contract enquiries can go to the same address. For privacy and data-subject requests, see the Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Weather, nowcast, METAR / TAF, and airspace data are sourced from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. DroneInfo is not a substitute for trained pilot judgement or official airspace authority guidance.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Deeploy Tech and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the service. This includes, without limitation:
- damage to, malfunction of, loss of, or fly-away of your drone, its batteries, payload, propellers, sensors or any accessory, whether caused by weather, GPS or compass error, signal interference, battery failure, structural failure or any other operational cause;
- damage to third-party property of any kind (vehicles, buildings, livestock, crops, aircraft, infrastructure) caused by your drone or the consequences of its operation;
- personal injury or death of third parties caused by your drone, its impact, its propellers, falling debris, or any battery-related event;
- fines, penalties, licence suspensions, criminal liability or civil claims arising from your violation of airspace restrictions, no-fly zones, temporary flight restrictions, privacy laws, or any other aviation, telecom or data- protection regulation applicable in your jurisdiction;
- loss of recorded media, mission data, or other digital artefacts produced by your flights;
- loss of profits, business interruption, contract penalties or any indirect commercial loss tied to a flight that you decided to undertake (or not) based on information shown by the service.
Our total aggregate liability for direct damages will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) EUR 50. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law (for example liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or non-excludable consumer-protection rights).
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Deeploy Tech and its contributors harmless from any claim, demand, loss, fine, penalty, regulatory action, or damage (including reasonable legal fees) brought by any third party or authority arising out of or related to:
- your operation of any unmanned aircraft;
- damage to your drone, third-party property or third-party persons caused by your flights or your decisions in connection with them;
- your violation of airspace restrictions, no-fly zones, temporary flight restrictions, NOTAMs, altitude limits, line-of-sight requirements, daylight rules, or any other aviation, telecom, privacy or data-protection regulation;
- your breach of these Terms, the Privacy Policy, app-store terms (Apple or Google), or the licence terms of any upstream data provider whose attribution we return; or
- your misuse of the mobile app or the API.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the API or web account at any time for material breach of these Terms (including quota abuse, key sharing, or violation of upstream licences), with notice where reasonable. You may stop using the app or close your web account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) survive.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be brought before the competent courts of Sweden, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence grant you the right to bring proceedings locally.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes affecting paid plans will be announced by email to account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
