Help and FAQ
Common questions about DroneInfo. If you don’t see yours, write to [email protected].
Does DroneInfo grant permission to fly?
No. DroneInfo gives advisory weather information only. The Flight Score is advisory and does not authorize a flight. Verify airspace, NOTAMs, and operator rules with your national civil aviation authority before every launch.
Where does the weather data come from?
We aggregate authoritative meteorological forecasts and aviation observations from official government agencies, plus real ground-based radar nowcast where we operate a national adapter. Each reading names its sources in the app.
What is the wind reference height?
10 m above ground, the ICAO and EASA aviation standard. Wind is labelled at 10 m everywhere it appears. We never extrapolate to 120 m without saying so.
Can I use DroneInfo anywhere in the world?
Yes. DroneInfo works globally - a country-agnostic forecast baseline covers any location, and national radar and airspace integrations layer on where they have coverage. Outside those regions the app falls back to the global providers without blocking the screen.
What does the Flight Score actually measure?
A 0-100 advisory blending wind and gusts - including the 25-150 m altitude corridor, not just the ground - with precipitation, visibility, temperature, and the geomagnetic Kp index against conservative drone thresholds. It is not legal permission. Drone-specific thresholds follow your drone profile when one is configured in the app.
How do I cancel a paid subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by the App Store or Google Play. Cancel from your Apple ID account settings or the Google Play subscriptions page. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
